you’re the free spirit, creative expressionistic type, and you make an effort to unhinge from the masses. you think life is an adventure to be had, that people are more important than things, and that weddings should be like a big party to hang with friends & family, eat good food and dance like no one’s watching. chances are you’re head over heels in love, about to tie the knot and you need that whole crazy day to be captured authentically. you won’t settle for anything but personal, imaginative and honest images that will tell your wedding the way you remember it. photography is one of your top priorities. you are one of mine. let’s have a chat.

me.
sometimes my favorite part of an image is a speckle of dust floating in the air. i am a sun chaser, a visual adventurer, imagemaker, admirer of the dust, lover of simple, beautiful things. i’m inspired by light and fascinated by the invisible pieces of life. my work stems from an appreciation for things superior in quality and experience, a world beyond the mainstream culture, artistic independence, the moments in between. i fall for genuine, down-to-earth people, with good energy. i’m allergic to bullshit. i reduce, reuse & recycle. i have a passion for the humble and the handmade, things that are nostalgic, well-crafted, earthy, and romantic, expansive landscapes, great adventures, a good live band, mellow wines, great food, laying in the grass, sticking my hand out the car window, documenting vanishing life moments.

story.
i grew up in a small town in france with rivers, old castles, and oak tree forests. there i slid down the wooden stairs of our house on mattresses, and built blanket forts on my bunk bed with my sister. we listened to stories from tapes and played with snails and newts. i doodled in my margins, played for hours in suitcases full of costumes, and named a bald black baby doll goldie locks. i went on adventures. i learned to dance, ride horses and play classical piano. i was a quiet observer. i pined magazine perfume ads all over my bedroom walls. i was captivated by images of people before i knew it was called photography.

fast forward a couple of decades, i still go on adventures and play dress-up. now i turn most of my doodles into reality and i get to make images of people. i enjoy the goodness and hardship of it all, the creative outpouring, the inspired possibilities. i’m a constant learner and enricher of my craft. i’m not perfect, but I own up to it. i’m not your traditional photographer, even less a vendor. i commit to my couples on a much higher level. i’m completely taken by them. i laugh and cry with them, loose myself in their moments, and make images of who they are with truth and meaning. the alternate would be nothing but a disservice to them. i try to see my couples not as strangers, but as someone’s daughter, sister, son, best-friend, and that they want to be seen, heard and known, to recognize they’re adored by someone, and that there’s something irrevocably precious about them. my camera lets me peel back those layers and deliver what it is i find beneath the surface. i like that.

pieces of life.
my heart is big. there are many things in it. these take up the most space.

brandon aka. mon amour is my partner & lifelong heartthrob, loves jammy bluegrass funk, rock music, a frosty amber lagger, and is oddly obsessed with the mysteries of quantum mechanics and theoretical physics. on a typical night he’s either playing blues-y licks on his guitar, antagonizing our cat nala, or working his magic in the kitchen.
we’re tenacious and we work hard, but we love it – the pain and glory, the highs and lows – and let it shape us into what we are. we like to move in the opposite direction of the status quo, to connect with like-mind, chill people, and the privilege of being invited to tell a wedding and make new friends. our vision is based on principles of human connection,  personal stories, mindfulness, and adventure. we are people-conscious and environmentally-aware. we’re pretty sure our souls have more mileage than our bodies. we like simple pleasures – the cool, understated and unpretentious things in life. the indoors & outdoors, board games with friends, road trips, good tunes, making photographs, natural sciences, documentaries, creating good food from scratch, and then eating it. we try to love wildly, live simply and beautifully. we are supporters of local artists, hole-in-the-wall music venues, mom n’ pop food joints, apple products.
